DRAWWORKS

Provides detailed discussion of the operations, maintenance, and inspection requirements associated with Drawworks systems. Includes discussion of hoisting systems, crown blocks, live blocks, tongs, and chain drives.

IRON ROUGHNECKS

Provides students with an overview of the operation and maintenance requirements associated with the use of Iron Roughneck equipments.

DRILL STRING DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

Gives participants the tools to identify the various types and grades of drill pipe used on rigs, and know how to determine the operating limits for each. Provides an understanding of the basic principles of engineering mechanics that are involved in Drill String Standards and Drilling Tubular Failures.

OFFSHORE DRILLING RISERS

Provide introduction to the installation, operations, and maintenance of riser systems used in offshore drilling operations. Includes a review of Subsea Choke and Kill system operations.

OFFSHORE LOWER MARINE RISER PACKAGES (LMRP)

Provides instruction in the installation, operation, and maintenance of LMRP used in offshore drilling operations.

MOTION COMPENSATORS AND TENSIONERS

Describes the operation and maintenance requirements for offshore drilling motion compensators and tensioners. Includes discussion of Riser Tensioners, Motion Compensators, and Drill String Compensators.

MUD CIRCULATING SYSTEMS

CHOKE AND KILL SYSTEMS

Discusses the principles of well control using choke and kill manifold systems in combination with Blowout Preventer shut-in systems. Describes the operation and maintenance requirements for various types of remote controlled chokes and failsafe valves. This course is oriented toward subsea Well Control.

TSP BOOTCAMP (ROUGHNECK TECH)

Gives new hires, whether they are to be on-boarded as field personnel or warehouse personnel, the skills and knowledge required to perform entry level assembly, testing, and operations.

INTRODUCTION TO OFFSHORE OPERATIONS SEMINAR

Overview of all aspects of a Drilling Units operation. This course is intended for those individuals with no knowledge of offshore drilling operations procedures and techniques. It provides general orientation into the terminology, processes, and techniques used in offshore drilling.

SEMISUBMERSIBLE & DRILLSHIP OPERATIONS SEMINAR

Discussion of the systems that are involved in Semi-Submersible Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) and Drillship operation. Includes a detailed look at Drill Through Equipment used in both types of drilling vessels.

ULTRA – DEEPWATER OPERATIONS

Discusses the specific issues that arise from operations in an ultra-deepwater environment (>6500 ft water depth). Covers the unique challenges of hydrostatic pressure, temperature, and depth associated with operations at these depths.

BASIC DRILLING PRACTICES

Introduction to the basic drilling practices employed on offshore drilling vessel. This course provides the basic knowledge associated with offshore drilling operations and is intended for individuals who need to develop skills and understanding of the detailed requirements to properly drill in the offshore environment.

ADVANCED DRILLING PRACTICES

This course is a follow-on to the Basic Drilling Practices course. This course is intended for individuals who need in-depth knowledge of the materials, techniques, equipment, procedures, inspection, processes, and safety issues associated with drilling in deepwater environments.

MPD

This course introduces participants to the reasons for MPD, the different MPD processes, and the equipment required to manage and monitor each MPD process type.

FIRE AND GAS DETECTORS

Reviews the various types of fire and gas detection systems available. Includes detailed instruction in the use of the most common types of detectors

Provides an overview of the operation and maintenance considerations for fire suppression systems utilized on offshore petroleum drilling and production.
